Working group announcements
Economic justice Working Group: signature collecting on "Budget for All Referendum". We need 200 verified signatures per representative district to get this on the November ballot here.
Ten people were present for the GA proposals, so GA decided that we would not make any decisions on formal proposals affecting the whole GA.
Julie O, facilitator; Anna T, stack; Ann M, Barbara B, Chris L (‘til 7), Joan B, Mike M, David Le, Lynette C, Susan L, Harriet P (at end) and Gina S (notes)
David Landskov brought delicious pastries to the meeting. Yum. Thank you David.
In a little over an hour this morning at Belmont Town Day, Dick Terry and I got over 50 Citizens United / Campaign Spending Amendment ballot-initiative signatures (30+ Dick, 20+ me), mostly from Belmont but a couple from Arlington.
Events like this are very fertile ground for getting signatures.
It was my first experience wielding a clipboard, and I learned a few things, some from Dick and some on my own.
If you've got anything of interest to Occupy Arlington to report, explain or just muse about -- here's the place.
Obviously -- keep it relevant and G-Rated.
Go for it!
Ten people were present for the GA, so we decided that we could go ahead and have a meeting, but would not make any decisions on formal proposals.
